Dear Dear Arthur and friends --

Thank you so much for the wonderful remembrances of Reb Shlomo on this
list! How privileged we all were to have known him, to have had our hearts
and souls and minds moved by his joyful holy presence. I don't know which
list you referred to that the other discussion about Shlomo was on, but I
was delighted to read your comments from Elat Chayyim just now (and hope
that you were able to get some sleep after being up writing at 0430!)

As someone who lived at both Houses of Love and Prayer in San Francisco,
way back in the late 60's and early 70's, along with Elana Rappaport
Schachter among others, I can say that your description of it was 100%
accurate, and that Shlomo and Zalman together did more to bring people
back to Judaism in revitalized ways than anyone else at that time. And
without Reb Shlomo and Reb Zalman there wouldn't be the kind of Jewish
Renewal movement we enjoy today!

So with tears and laughter and blessings of joy and peace. Shalom, Libby
